Cellulitis

Cellulitis is a skin infection caused by bacteria. Usually, the skin protects against infection. However, if there is a cut, insect bit or sore on the skin, bacteria can attack the skin and it spreads into the deeper tissues. Here, medical care needs to be taken and the wounds have to be treated with antibiotics. If you skip the antibiotics treatment, the infection will spread to the lymph nodes and blood and this can be disastrous. It is always recommended, the moment there is a cut on the skin, you have to compulsorily start treatment to treat the cut.

On the flip side, there are instances where people contract cellulitis even without a cut on the skin or the presence of a sore. This is seen in older adults and diabetics or people with a weak immune system.  Such people are likely to develop cellulitis after treatment as well.
